Hi all and welcome to the coordination section !

Why do we need to coordinate ?
We are on the way to 789 by spreading the word by mouth to all hitchikers that we know. Communication between coordinators permits us to follow the general progress of spreading the word in all European countries where hitchhikers still are on the road.

The 789 coordination function is to work together to federate the hitchhiking network and bring people together.

Each countries has several coordinators who work together on spreading and broadcasting the event.

There are already two tools to help on the coordination.

  • A GOOGLE GROUP, to work on generals progress, http://groups.google.com/group/789-coordination
  • AN EVOLUTION PANNEL, it confirms where we spread and what we already have done, http://hitchwiki.org/en/789/coordination

    • What can I do?

    Here we have a list of things everybody is welcome to do:

  • Spread the word about 789 to friends, fellow hitchhikers, travelers, the world!
  • Translate the website into your local language! 789 is about the European hitchhiking week, so we want to cover as much different languages as there are! Translating text is as easy as hitchhiking, just register on this website and send a message to platschi, he'll be happy to help you!
  • Organize a pre-meeting
  • You are creative? We need a flyer! :)
  • In Odessa, you have the possibility to make a performance or prepare a workshops, present a project, so if you have an idea post it here : workshops and performances
